Dipti Kalshetti is an undergraduate Biomedical Engineering and Honors College student at the University of Buffalo, driven by a fervent passion for leveraging her skills to create a positive impact on the world. Her expertise lies at the intersection of engineering and medicine, with a specialized focus on ensuring the safety and efficacy of engineered wound healing solutions.
Currently serving as a Research Assistant at the Arany Lab, Dipti is at the forefront of pioneering engineered wound healing through the innovative application of Photobiomodulation. Her dedication to advancing medical technology is further showcased through her prior contributions at the Engineered Theranostics Lab. Here, she was developing multifunctional nanoparticles for cancer therapy and engineering nanotechnology-enabled biosensors for the early detection and treatment of cancer.
In addition to her academic pursuits, Dipti is an active contributor to campus life. As a Resident Advisor (RA) for Campus Living, she fosters a supportive living environment. Her commitment extends to professional development as a Peer Coach at The Career Design Centre, an Ambassador for The Office of Student Engagement, and a Peer Mentor for The School of Engineering and Applied Sciences. Through these roles, Dipti demonstrates her dedication to assisting and empowering her peers in their academic and professional journeys.
