Junsoo Lee earned his B.E. and M.S. degrees in Electronics Engineering from Kyungpook National University, South Korea, in 2018 and 2020, respectively. He is currently a Ph.D. candidate in Biomedical Engineering at the University of California, Irvine, under the mentorship of Professors Thomas E. Milner and Bernard Choi. His doctoral research focuses on the clinical translation of advanced optical techniques, including photobiomodulation and intravascular laser atherectomy. He also investigates novel diagnostic and therapeutic strategies for dermatological conditions such as cutaneous neurofibromatosis and port-wine stain birthmarks. Currently, he is completing an internship as a visiting researcher at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas.
