    Konika Patel Schallen, MD is an internationally recognized expert in aesthetic and laser medicine with over two decades of experience in clinical practice, scientific research, and medical innovation. She currently serves as Medical Director and Global Senior Vice President of Clinical Operations at Candela Medical where she leads clinical education development, clinical research and global clinical integration of advanced energy-based technologies.
    In addition to her role at Candela, Dr. Schallen is the founder and medical director of CMA Medicine, a premier laser medical practice known for delivering cutting-edge, evidence-based treatments. Her dual perspective—as both a practicing physician and global clinical leader—enables her to bridge the gap between technology development and real-world patient outcomes.
    Dr. Schallen has led numerous clinical trials and executed multiple physician trainings globally, with a focus on efficacy, safety, and innovation in treatments for all skin types and complex indications. She is deeply committed to advancing the science of laser medicine through research, education, and collaboration.
