Bianca Kang, MD, is a dermatology resident at Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale, Arizona. She earned her undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences from Arizona State University. Before medical school, she worked as a research assistant for Dr. Cheryl Nickerson at the Arizona State University Biodesign Institute, studying the mechanobiology of infectious diseases, including the effects of spaceflight on bacteria. Dr. Kang attended medical school at Creighton University School of Medicine, where she developed a strong interest in dermatologic research. She completed a one-year research fellowship with Dr. Murad Alam at Northwestern University, followed by an internal medicine intern year in Santa Barbara, California. She then pursued a transitional year at Mayo Clinic in Arizona before beginning her dermatology residency.
