Amy Forman Taub, MD, FAAD, is a medical professional with extensive expertise in dermatology and aesthetic medicine. With a career spanning over three decades, Dr. Taub has significantly contributed to the industry through her pioneering work and ventures.
Dr. Taub is the Founder and Medical Director of Advanced Dermatology, established in 2003 and acquired by Forefront Dermatology in 2023. She also founded skinfo® and skinfo.com in 1999, providing medical-grade skincare products to the public. In 2015, she co-founded SkinQRI™, a cosmeceutical company focusing on hair restoration and addressing difficult cosmetic and clinical skin issues.
Previously, Dr. Taub founded and directed Advanced Research in Dermatology from 2006 to 2011, contributing to advancements in dermatological research. A prolific researcher, she has conducted numerous clinical studies and published extensively. She has been a senior editor of the Journal of Drugs in Dermatology since 2008 and a Peer Reviewer for several dermatology journals since 2007.
Dr. Taub holds faculty appointments at Northwestern University Medical School, currently serving as an Assistant Professor of Clinical Dermatology. She was awarded “Contributed Services Faculty Teacher of the Year” in 2007, 2016, and 2023 by Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine.
She has received numerous awards, including being ranked as America’s Best Cosmetic Dermatologist by Newsweek in 2022 and 2023. Dr. Taub is actively involved in professional societies and leadership positions, including being a founding member of The Dermatologic & Aesthetic Surgery International League (DASIL) and holding memberships in the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, and the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery.
