    Jill S. Waibel, MD

    Dr. Jill Waibel is an accomplished and highly respected dermatologist with expertise in medical dermatology, cutaneous laser surgery, and cosmetic dermatology for patients of all ages. As the Medical Director and Owner of the Miami Dermatology and Laser Institute in Miami, Florida, she leads a cutting-edge practice that focuses on advanced dermatologic treatments. Recently, Dr. Waibel has expanded her reach by opening an additional, state-of-the-art cosmetic, medical, and dermatology research facility in Coconut Grove, further enhancing her ability to provide innovative and comprehensive care.

    Dr. Waibel is also the Subsection Chief of Dermatology at Baptist Hospital. Additionally, she serves as a Clinical Voluntary Assistant Professor at the University of Miami, contributing to medical education and the next generation of dermatologists.

    On the global stage, Dr. Waibel is a recognized leader in dermatologic laser surgery, frequently lecturing worldwide to train physicians and share her expertise. She operates a forward-looking practice with more than 85 laser devices for both medical and cosmetic applications, reflecting her dedication to innovation. Her research work, particularly in clinical trials, has included over 50 clinical trials, with a focus on new pharmaceutical and medical device advancements. Dr. Waibel has helped several companies navigate FDA approval processes, further contributing to the evolution of dermatology.

    One of her key passions is advancing laser treatments for scars. She has developed groundbreaking techniques and procedures for scar treatment, and her work has garnered her numerous awards, including the ASLMS Ellet H. Drake Memorial Award. Dr. Waibel is also involved with several leading organizations, including the American Society of Laser Medicine and Surgery, and the Scientific Advisory Boards of multiple leading laser manufacturers.

    In 2022, Dr. Waibel was honored as Newsweek's America's Best Cosmetic Dermatologist, further solidifying her reputation in the field. In recognition of her contributions, she also received the 2017 ASLMS Leadership, Mentorship & Public Advocacy for Women in Medical Science Award and the 2016 JDD Humanitarian Award for her work with burn victims. Dr. Waibel is particularly passionate about treating burn and trauma scars, and has worked closely with military physicians, wounded warriors, and their families. Her dedication to this cause led her to create the "Restoring Heroes" support group to provide care for veterans and 9/11 survivors.

    Outside of her professional accomplishments, Dr. Waibel enjoys a fulfilling family life with her husband and four children in Coral Gables, Florida.
